Hey guys, I'm just wondering if anyone knows about any interesting biology experiments that's reasonably do-able at home that fall under the topics : The human story, Maintaining a balance, The search for better health (Disease) and The blueprint of life (DNA) would greatly help! thanks :)

In the blueprint of life:
Plan, choose equipment or resources and perform a first-hand investigation to model natural selection - use lollies to simulate the organism being looked at, and use people to simulate the predators

Search for a better health:
perform an investigation to examine plant shoots and leaves and gather first-hand information of evidence of pathogens and insect pests - boring experiment however is really easy - look at leaves and fruit and such

For maintaining a balance, you could buy a kidney and dissect it, but lol.
For blueprint of life, modelling meiosis (or modelling polypeptide synthesis) is also a good one. You can use pipecleaners to represent the different chromosomes, and then show crossing over, random segregation etc. But the natural selection prac as madharris has suggested would probably be a lot easier to do at home.

Natural selection - box of smarties or jelly beans

i.e. black jelly bean is less favoured due to perceived bad taste, therefore it can 'pass on' its favourable characteristic and become predominant in the environment - just please don't try to multiply the jelly beans, it doesn't have to be realistic, just a MODEL for natural selection

The one we did at school AGES ago, was circular counters and the green camouflaged onto the oval, whereas every other colour stood out; therefore the 'selective pressures' of the environment have favoured the green counter because it's difficult to see and is less subject to being found in contrast to all the others which are vibrant colours

plan and preform a investigation to demonstrate the effect of environment on phenotype.

-you could possibly grow hydrangeas, one in acidic and one in basic soil and then compare the colors of the leaves. Or you could grow fast growing plants, but deplete sunlight from one.

Have you ever thought that biology assignments or labs happen to be a simple task? Have you ever have to handle some experiments along with biology assignments? Many times it becomes difficult to complete labs and assignments at a time as this situation arises in less mark for students. To get good grades they need biology assignment and anatomy research paper help from online services.
