thats very true and also when you're talking about what's most suitable for situations like a spill of an acid, you would use a weak base, such as Na2CO3 or NaHCO3. and the most suitable form would be a powder because it will stop it from spreading further, easy to store, and excess used won't do any harm to anyone.nosadness said:think u gotta say that it should be a weak acid or base. this reduce the heat of neutralisation. in fine powder form also alow it to neutralise a bigger area and reduce spreading. a example is NaHCO3.
