I doubt it. They've probably all swallowed the beads.

Cool, well, when you're paying a couple of billion dollars in tax, maybe then you can whinge about the fact that your tax money is paying for something you disagree with. Your $30 tax is probably paying for taxi fares for politicians.

I don't pay any tax because of 'creative accounting' and I'm still pissed off if this money goes on fuckin 15" retardocomputers instead of netbooks w/ linux.

as with nebz, i don't see how this will add anything to the classroom experience which cannot be taught by conventional methods. in fact my concern is that kids will get distracted by surfing the net and chatting online. waste of money imo.

You see, the difference is that that's the SCHOOL'S laptop. Who gives a shit?
Whereas these are OUR laptops.

Also: stop killing it :( I'm so excited to get a laptop, I don't want a gay netbook. Sure it's for study, but come on, after high school what am I gonna do with a netbook ==;; I'd rather have a fully functional laptop(lanpartay)
Then buy one

Yeah I agree with that, the whole thing seems like a huge waste of money, they could do much better things with it

this is absolute crap. every other grade has managed without one, so why should these kids get them such because we are growing technology wise? Besides, in exams their writing will get slower if they constantly type rather than actually practise writing. Total waste of tax payer's money. :evilfire:

I seriously don't understand how you can make a "mini laptop" worth $2445.
They're mini for a reason >.<
