Fucking hell son. You got 98.5. Be happy. Some of us can't get anywhere near you.brightsizelife said:Firstly congrats everyone on finishing and finding out how you went!!
It's all over, except for me that is...
Does anyone know if they can possibly miscalculate the UAI?
Based on the HSC Marks that I got yesterday from the Board of Studies, the scaling statistics for 2007 on the UAC site (http://www.uac.edu.au/pubs/pdf/2007_table_A3.pdf) and alot of complicated Excel graphs, I made my scaled aggregate out to be 449.2, which is meant to be between 99 and 99.50, but I got 98.50.
I calculated the scaled aggregates of alot of my mates as welland they were all where they were meant to be based on this document from UAC: http://www.uac.edu.au/pubs/pdf/2007_table_A8.pdf. For example, my friend got 449.3 as his scaled aggregate and he got 99.05, another got 437.5 as his scaled aggregate and got 98.4, so close to me despite the fact that I was on virtually the same mark as the 99.05 guy.
Any ideas? How did I get 98.50? Should I call the UAC and complain, despite their bureaucratic, inflexible and superior attitude? (FAQ: "Can my UAI be recalculated? No." Wow, UAC must be perfect and never make any mistakes.)
To be honest, I'm quite disappointed just because I thought my marks were pretty good. =( And because my estimate was 99.5, that too. Still, I did no work during the year so that's a plus.

Haha ironically, I'm planning to study jazz in the States where they don't care about any marks or anything, so it is true that I'm just whinging for the sake of it. Oh the joys of whinging!Exphate said:But since you won't be a doctor and obviously a disappointment to your family, I guess you will want to whinge about it.
