yeh someone mentioned something about a letter

i hate all text types. like i can handle an essay, it's so simple, but i would die if we had to do like an interview or a feature article. i just find it so much harder to answer the question

A letter or diary entry would suck, especially if you had to write to a set person in a set context etc.

I don't think the cretaive writing would be a radio interview. However for Section 3 of Paper 1, and Section 1, 2 and 3 of the Modules paper, you can gurantee at least one of them won't simply be a straightforward essay. Instead one will be a speech, radio interview, debate, feature article, review, etc.

yeah, that's a definite possibility.
2007 advanced english cohort got it easy though. Section 3 of paper 1, + all modules were essay questions, if i remember correctly.
my bet is section 3 of paper 1 will retain the essay text type, while one of the modules may be a speech, interview etcetera. preferably Critical Study.
and i honestly don't believe they'll make it harder just because it's the last year of Journeys. Markers may be more experienced than next year's, but the questions won't necessarily be harder. Like someone said, it has to apply to everyone, standard and advanced, so if they were to send out a giant 'fuck you' it would jeopardize state performance.

They've apparently got a lot of english teachers up in arms about the proposed changes to the syllabus (which involve ditching the creative completely, and cutting the time for the ext 1 exams), so my teacher thinks they're probably not going to do anything to twisted and mean this year, because they've got a lot of shitty teachers already, and the last thing they need is more.
That being said, they might give us impossible questions as a big fuck you to the teachers...

Because if your teachers dislike or disagree on syllabus requirements from a personal but particularly an educational stance, its generally a sign theres something wrong with your proposed plans.

and i agree the journeys question COULD be a tricky one, to finish off journeys..

2001- magazine article story
2002- letter
2003- narrative
2004- compose piece of imaginative writing (so narrative)
2005- imaginative writing narrative
2006- narrative
2007- narrative

so essentially its has to be narrative cause well they havent changed it in over 5 years why would they now
