working pretty much all of sunday. manage easy, as you dont do much on sundays and do work on sunday nights if need be. Even the days i stay home, get up like 12ish and then bludge until 3pm or so. So its good i earn some $$$

Haha thanks for the advice XD
Well its definately nice having money to spend on frivolous things..
But the problem here is, that I never have TIME to spend it XDD
So its all moneh in da bank $_$
I may go overseas after school, so I guess I'll just keep it till then. And as for cutting down, yeah I think I'll ask for less, I'll ask for about 15. Now that winter is coming up I wont get as many shifts anyhow cos it wont be as busy.

amazing. How do you manage ?
Mm, well, I have infact evolved a mechanism that allows me to survive without sleeping :spzz:

Heh, no, in all seriousness, I am exhausted and not managing.. Well I'm getting good marks, but jeopardising my social life. And everyone says you need balance through the hsc... Hmm.

I has minimal balance.

I had a job all through Years 10, 11 and 12. It was great, I cut my hours back heaps though around the middle of Year 10 because I was always rostered on to do closes which fucked up my sleeping pattern with school.

Keep the job, the money's worth it, but just be careful of how many hours you're working, and decrease them if you feel it's necessary.

I semi-quit. Heh, nessa you quitter.
I rarely work in the school term unless needed. When I do, it's around 8hours a week. They asked me to work this holidays but I'm feeling lazy but I need the money.

I'll probably eventually quit later on purely because I can't seem to manage myself properly.

Maccas ftw.
I'm currently doing 2-3 shifts a week which is about 15ish hours.
They're really really flexible and give you time off if you need it.
I loveeeeeeeeeeeee working and studying at the same time. It's all good in my hood. =)

for those of you wanting to work and have plenty of spare time...try looking leafletting. Its like you deliver flyers/local ads around your area.

+ exercise
+good pay ( I averaged $50 a week )
+ REALLY good flexibility
+ get out of the house =D
+ plenty of free time otherwise
+ you choose when you want to work!! =D

I pretty much had this in year 9/10, did about 4-5 hours over the weekend ( walking and sorting time ) and money was heaps heaps good ( calculated through $13.80 per type of flyer so some weeks i had around $150 for 6 hours of work xD )

yeah i work in retail, i love my job
i get rather good pay for having a good solid chat
plus my job has heaps of perks

but i work between 10-20 hours in a school week

easy to manage with school, although i am an insomniac
and its all sweet because turning up to work with a hangover is encouraged
and theres always the mop bucket to throw up in :)

phwoar..25 hours. thats really incredible, to balance a job like that with school. I'd cut down on the hours =/

I got a job from my work exp last year. I do 5hrs a week and my manager's really flexible with my hours whenever exams come up :) same when i used to work at kfc haha, they just gave me one shift a week.
