i've got a physics data analysis test thats upcoming like next week and I have no idea how to study for it.. I've been trying to memorise some of the theory we've learned and analysing graphs and all that but I'm not sure if its effective coz I've never rly done a test like this and I genuinely have little clue whats gonna be in it. if anyone can give some insight or a helping hand I would very very veryyyyy much appreciate it!! thank u

I've never thought you would have to learn how to analyse a graph. Do you mean like outliers and line of best fit etc ? We did something first term where you swing a mass from a pendulum and calculate the gravity by tabulating the data.

lmao me too, but basically we r given an equation and a table with values that relate, then they tell us to graph it as a linear.
for eg:
they could give us this equation and the values of d and F in a table. then we would have to plot d and F to fit y=mx+c on the graph, find the gradient and determine the number for k or something like that..
sorry my explanation wasn't that great but I don't rely get it myself :(

OK I get it now. So probably what you would do in class is to rearrange the formula so the formula equals k and then choose your independent variables(could be current and F) and control variables(could be L and d) your control variables and variables would depend on how you are measuring it idk exactly. Then you would do the measurements in different independent variables and plot them in the graph, discount outliers maybe some errors and then draw a line of best fit and calculate its gradient would be equal to k. Then you should talk about reliability, validity and accuracy that was it for us but yours might be different. I also found this https://learnable.education/physics...form-data-analysis-in-physics-investigations/ might be helpful.
