Most likely... but by how much? Who knows.

In 2002, the same shortage of places at USYD would have meant a HECS cut-off of 99.75.

Assuming those students who missed out all had UNSW as their next preference, its HECS cut-off would have increased to 99.40.

[Edit: Made a mistake; the UNSW prediction should be 99.40 instead of 99.65.]

you cant go THAT HIGH!~

theres gona be like..... 200 people above .70
and i bet 50 of them are doing med
and another 50 are not interested in law

and usyd law quota is like 150+ at least

See my earlier post; in 2002, it would have been 99.75.

More... somewhere around 240.

USYD is decreasing the number of law places to 90 (of which 10 are fee-paying). This might end up changing if the HECS reforms continue to be watered down, or simply fail to pass the Senate. The predictions are based on this shortage of places - there's no real reason for the cut-offs to change drastically otherwise.

[Edit: Made a mistake anyway... recalculating UNSW prediction...]

The appropriate prediction for UNSW should have been 99.40.

Sorry. :)

how bout UNSW?
UNSW has about 200 from memory, although I could easily be wrong
USyd only having 90 places..well 80 for HECS means the UAI will be terrible this year. I say 99.80
