hey folks. please help me think of a pip hypothesis/topic question...i.e. how do i put into words, what i want to find out (below).

i want to know how fast food has changed over time, some ideas:

  • how/when it was created.
  • what is considered fast food?
  • how often people consume it.
  • to judge whether or not fast food has for the most part, has replaced people's need for cooking meals themselves at home.
  • its effects on the individual and its effect on society.
  • how technology has impacted on it.

i'm working on my pip this holis and i need to come up with questions from this for a pip survey too. please help :(.

I've started my PIP and as I'm going through my sources I've annotated them so i don't forget what it was about at the end.

For each source I have written at least 8 lines.
I saw two examples today and they have only one or two.

Am I doing this wrong?
Or is it ok??

my PIP is the identity and culture of Australia as seen from other cultures perspectives and am investigating this by doing
-content analysis of a popular culture the simpsons episode called bart vs australia
-interviewing immigrants that have come to australia their perceptions b4 and after
-a brief chapter on how Australia's settlement has influenced its culture and identity (convicts etc) including focus group
-case study on Australia Day and how this reflects our culture and how we want to be seen
-content analysis on foreigners perceptions of Australia.

im finished though and i think ive done a good job considering i changed my topic like 2 months ago (Y)(Y)(Y) i have lots of terminology in there like multiculturalism, identity etc etc etc:D

Emo - Just another cutting fashion trend?

I have two interviews, two questionnaires AND just started my third chapter.
But considering what the rest of my class is up to, I feel way behind.

Our draft is due to our teacher in a week and seriously no-one in our class has done much, maybe loads of surveys and honestly that's about it. And during the hols, our teacher is making arrangements to see each one of us individually to go through our drafts and edit/polish/chop/change them so they are super PIPs!

I've done my intro, a personal reflection, have about 60 odd surveys do sort through, started my first chapter and have a pile of info to look over/highlight. All that plus music trials in 6 weeks to rehearse for!

My PIP topic is
"Does the Australian anarchist movement offer a realistic economic alternative to capitalism?"
Almost done my central material, and it's been a really interesting topic to research!
Smashes a lot of stereotypes! ;)

My PIP topic is "What is homophobia? And where do these attitudes REALLY stem from? I've used 4 main homophobic myths for my chapters as well as doing a thorough definintion....so that meant looking into religion, medicine, the animal kingdom and the coming out process in a gay person's micro world. It's been really interesting and I've nearly finished :)

BUT i still haven't come up with a title yet. Does anyone have any ideas? They would be greatly appreciated! The best I have so far is "I See Gay People". haha...

Thanks.

My PIP is about how fairtales and folklore have changed over time and how they demonstrate and contrast the social and political morals and values of when they were first written to the different interpretations now.

I finally finished! (Well, almost).
Now all I need to do is finish annotating my resource list :shy:
Anyway.
Mine's called "All Work and No Play Makes Jack A Dull Boy (But What About Jacqueline?)" and basically looks at whether gender as a sole factor influences the impact of employment on year twelve students.
WOOTAGE.
