I did general math for the HSC and looking at the assumed knowledge of civil engineering MX1 is required.

The bridging courses are separate for 2u and 3u, and are conducted simultaneously on the same days

Any advice on what I should do? I dont think doing both bridging courses would do much help because i wont understand 3u without 2u.

thanks

Can i survive civil with only 2u?
for the first semester the only topic that requires mx1 is differential calculus can i pass it with only 2u knowledge

yeah you can with 2unit, but you need to be a top 2unit student imo (band 5 or 6) and after that you still need to work hard on maths

the thing you most need in civil is strong algebraic skills, you shouldn't need to think twice about factorising, solving linear and quadratic equations. These skills need to be firmly established.

Calculus is a big one too. Make sure your good with it.
Yeah I plan on learning 2u essentials in the next couple days then diving into the 3u bridging course with my fingers crossed.
