Well as a few ppl have said i didnt start this post to see what yall thought about this i was just curious to see if their were any ppl in my situation. I don't expect many of you to fully understand this situation as a) you don't know me and b) even my friends at school who know me haven't got any clue about pregnancy and babies.

All i want to make clear is that im not asking for sympathy or special considerations. I am just pregnant which will in no way hinder my learning in class during the lead up to the HSC. I am only applying for special provisions because as some of you may know pregnant woman need to go to the toilet alot. So leaving the main hall every 20 mins will be distracting to others. I have to do the exact same paper in the same time as everyone else and i will be in the same school so whoever said ability to cope with heat/cold, thats a bit stupid. I wasn't going to get special provisions in HSC as the baby will be born and i like the atmosphere in the hall during exam conditions. My year advisor suggested i should as she said for a month after giving birth you feel like your insides are going to fall out and still need to pee alot.

Those who said i shouldn't be having sex can stick it. Im sure most of you are having sex. At my school about 70% of people have had sex at least once. The pill is 99.9% effective so why would i use a condom. I've been having sex for about 3 yrs (only with one guy) and never had a pregnancy scare.

What is the baby's father doing?
Working 40 hrs a week and saving hard to buy things for our child. Someone in the position above him just left so he has been working doubly hard and extra shifts incaese they are going to promote someone. Im so proud of him because when he was at school he was a bit of a bludger, but he has been working so hard.

I anyone has any specific q's or concerns that you really think i haven't thought about, you can private message me, but if you've thought it ive probably thought about it. I would really just like to close the debate, because really most of you have no idea about this.

PS- Found out today my baby will have blue eyes, dont ya love biology ;-)

Well we were discussing genes and all that crap, part of biology course. My bf and i both have blue eyes therefore all our children will have blue eyes.

Not necessarily, as there might be ppl in ur family that have different eyecolour, but it is likely that ur child will have the same colour eyes as its parents

although eye colour is a little more complex than just two alelles. But just simplifying it a bit blue eyes is recessive therefore both my bf and i have say bb genes. bb crossed with bb can only produce bb (blue eyes).

but my paretns both have blue eyes and both his parents have blue eyes so our baby will have blue eyes.

Not necessarily, if you both have recessive green genes then the baby has a 1/4 chance of having green eyes.

Not to mention eye colour isn't genetic - pigmentation level is (a subtle difference, but it produces even less certainty about eye colour).

Yea why not at least at the end ill be able to provide better for my child. I have plenty of support from family and my gorgous bf so as long as i can afford to live i will be going to uni.

Y not... ummm do u have any idea how much a baby costs???

i only just saw this thread....i think your determination to get your hsc is commendable and i want to wish you well.
why dont you try for a scholarship if you think you will ahve trouble paying for uni, alot of the uni's have many different scholarships u should talk to your principal or careers advisor about it.

well ok just to prove he/she will have blue eyes as far as i can trace back to granparents everyone in my family has blue eyes, and yes natstar all babys are born with blue eyes. Although im not sure about black babies.

and yes white spazzy i will be applying to every scholarship i am eligable for i would be even if i wasn't having a baby.

My stepmum was pregnant at 17 and did her medical degree with a child... however, the course was nowhere near as rigorous back then and she said she would have 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th thoughts about doing it again. It's very difficult and can be depressing. However, its turned out to be worth it for her, as she's now a wealthy specialist and still works hard.

If you're going to be having a baby so close to exams remember that it could screw you over and you might not do as well making it exceptionally hard to get into medicine.

And most medicine degrees are 30-something hours a week face-to-face not to mention all the extra work, so who is going to look after your baby? If your parents/family/boy are great then thats brill, but will you want to miss out on that much?

But yeah, it can be done... my stepmum and my older stepsister are proof of that.

do u mean having blue eyes as a baby, or blue eyes when they are older? Cuz in general all babies tend to have blue eyes

im the oldest of 5 kids and we all had brown eyes. in fact ive seen a stack of brown eyes babies.... enuf that iv never thought more are born with blue or brown.

You dont know much about gentics, seemingly as u have given no gentic evidence of why this is
