Hey there, judging by the fact you clicked into this topic you are either wanting to tell me something about the novel These Three Remain or you are wondering what it has to do with Pride and Prejudice.

Anyway, in short, it's part 3 of a series of novels by Pamela Aidan and it's pretty much a story about Fitzwilliam Darcy; a different perspective of the events of Pride & Prejudice. It's quite good apparently- my Mum wants me to buy it for her but I have checked amazon.com and can't seem to find it; warning: There is a book there called "These Three Remain" but unfortunately as one of the reviews commented; it has nothing to do with Pride and Prejudice or Jane Austen.

My Mum already owns the first two parts of the series by Pamela Aidan- "An Assembly such as This" and "Duty and Desire".

Does anyone have any ideas on where to get this third part of the series? My Mum obtained these two books from my sister living in London.

It seems as though it was only published this year, so that might be why it's so difficult to find. The official site is: http://crownhillwriters.com/AUS/

According to that site, it will cost you $23 (probably US) to get it in five weeks, and $26 (again, probably US) to get it in 3-5 days.

Wow you found it? My Mum and I have been searching for it but couldn't get it for ages!

Do you know if that site is reliable?

Sadly, I have no idea. :( I would suggest emailing them about it and see if they respond promptly. Try asking what currency the dollars are in, for starters. ;)

I'm asking my Mum to check out the stuff since she's the one who's into it.

As for playboy2njoy- do you mean the original Pride and Prejudice? You can buy the novel from most bookshops? I think it might even be available as a free book on the net... not really sure; but if you buy it in paperback it should be <$10.

Gee, you're nice, making your Mum buy her own birthday pressie!

playboy, P&P is a classic - most bookshops (unless they're specialised or something) would have it. Online, you can find an etext at: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/1342

Oh my absoulte Darcy worship makes me incredibly interested in this. If I have the time and the memory to look into it, and find something, I'll PM you?

The whole concept is quite interesting...kinda like high quality fan fiction :)

Technically aren't all sequels which are unofficial considered to be "fan fiction" then? Must be pretty good IMO if it got published professionally.

Have you read other books like Mr Darcy gets a wife? My Mum bought a whole bunch of PAP spinoff books from London.

There's no such thing as high-quality fan fiction. If you're capable enough to write a book, it should be guided by your intentions.

Fanfiction- probably the best fanfiction site.

www.fanfiction.net

If it isn't in the main book list (which it should be, its quite the popular book)
you can go to C2 (listed up in the blue bar up top)
and then try through that link (still in fanfiction.net)
