Well basically what i worked out priority population groups to mean is it is important for the identification of priority population subgroups. The reason for this is it allows health authorities to better understand social determents of health, determine needs of groups, identify prevalence of injury and disease in specific groups, and determine the health disadvantages of groups within the pop.

Priority Population Groups
- Australian minorities are not well served by existing health programs
- Looks at the needs of special groups whom population-based research has identified as having special needs
