proportion of students receiving high averages in engineering (1 Viewer)

Im not here to ask people how hard is it to get so and so average, it doesnt tell me anything.

What I want to know is a rough proportion of engineering students(from any uni) who would receive a distinction average or over.

Also can anyone give their best estimate of the no. of student places in any engineering course at UNSW. The UNSW website has a 'honours list', from this I can get a rough idea of the proportion who make it into honours and thus evaluate my chances.

distinction average isn't that hard in any subject, it is usually around top 30%

The number of places in Engineering courses at UNSW varies by course. Courses like Potovoltativs have low course numbers (~40), whereas courses like Software have hig numbers (~100). Do you have any particular course in mind?
