i think the requirement for uni medal for maths is 95+. so a "high" wam depends on the faculty?

well yeah. maths is easy to get high marks if you know your stuff. In say science and engineering, anything over 90 is like getting 99 in maths :D And for med, anything over 78 is a first class honour, and 82 is about the mark you will need for a University medal.
