Hello!
If I were to do a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Actuarial studies at UNSW. Will I be able to not do the Actuarial Studies component in my first year and only do BSc stuff? Is that possible?

You can technically skip all actuarial subjects in the first year but why would you? There is only 1 actuarial specific course and 2 mathematics courses (science faculty) that are geared towards the actuarial component. Other than that I'm pretty sure you can avoid the commerce bits of actuarial until 2nd year, but that may make timetabling complex. It is probably best to follow a suggested progression plan which would do a bit of both every year.
