I am doing PHYS1121. i have a question about the size of tutorial class. Every class has about 300+ capacities for tutorial so how can we ask question to the tutor? Is it effectively? Should it be divided into smaller group later?

Your lecture might be 300+ but tutorials are in classrooms in groups of 10-20.

is physics really that hard? Is it achievable to get a C/D/HD for physics?

p/s: i hope they will spread the tutorial into smaller group after

hard? well.... apparently its normal for people to get around 40 in their exams... so....

but that doesnt mean people cant get D's/HD's... i know people have gotten high marks in physics...

STUDY HARD!

i know people who got 99/100 for physics

on the other hand, the average between my peers were around high 60s.

go figure...

HSC physics (back in 2003) ruined everything!!!!

well thats really odd. last year they were in the usual ~20 student class sizes. the average marks in the physics exams have always been really low though, so i guess they might be going for a different approach this year.

I got a HD in higher physics last year, but only because of the second half which covered electricity/magnetism which I found relatively easy. Thermo+mechanics in the first half raped me, I got 67 in my mid sem :uhoh:

Very odd how they're doing the tutorials this year.

in uni physics you have to not only learn the concepts but also learn how to solve the problem.

Tutorials are in groups of 10-20, even if there's 300 people with one at the same time they will have 10 different rooms. My tut was smaller cos I did 1131 but should be the same more or less.
