Hi,
I'm interested in the career possibility of being a pure mathematics professor at university. Though I have a few general questions about the career;
1. Once you obtain a degree in pure maths, what's next? Do you get a masters, PHD, further study?
2. How does one become a Mathematics Professor? (The process/steps)
3. Is it difficult to find a job as a lecturer/professor?
4. What does a day as a math professor look like? (Is it mainly residing in your office tackling math problems, or is it mostly lecturing etc.?)
5. Is there a specific number of math papers you need to do each year to maintain being a professor?
Thanks
