Just a quick question.

Say you calculate the ratio and it comes up as 1.299422 for example. In my textbook, its saying the ratio would be 1.2 rounded, but I thought it would of been 1.3 rounded because of the 9 after the 2.

Which way is corrected? Would you lose marks depending on which way?

Thanks :)

This was aslo the case in the 2011 independent trials.
The answer was 1.647.....
So i rounded it up and when i looked at the answer in marking guidlines it said the correct answer is 1.64!!

I actually asked my teacher about that and she said you don't need to round it up but if you do make sure you show working.
But i don't think i'm going to round up.
