hello guys....

would sort of RAW MARK do u need to get 85 or above for physics as external mark?

sumwhere about 80/100 raw, or more or less??

sum1 plz reply soon---i'm stressing out bout phys---arghhhhhh

In 2004 you wouldn't need nearly that high. Mid 70's would translate to around the band 6 cutoff.

Of course, it is extremly hard to estimate your raw HSC mark. So you are better off not.

so, are you saying that getting 75+ RAW MARK, "USUALLY" get u around 85??

No. I am saying that in 2004 a mark of around 75 would have gotten around a 90. (Large error margin due to extrapolation of marks from one source, it is a linear relationship but I can't account for rounding).

But that means nothing this year.

12% of students who sat Physics last year got a band 6. That is a better approximation to make rather then the exam.

50% got above 76.

WOW!!!

i got 82% for trial, but it was easy i guess.. so u reckon there's a gud chance i mite get 85% external mark for hsc (not RAW).?

depends how your school marked your paper...
but i would say uwould be band 6 material.
