Red P's - Auto to Manual License (retake test or wait?) (1 Viewer)

I'm on my Red P's atm, passed on an auto (3-4 months ago).
Should I retake test in manual? or wait another 6-7 months before I can drive both.
Buying a manual car, not really sure if I should wait.

I called the RTA and was told to display my Red P plates and have a fully licensed passenger in the car at all times.

Does this still apply or has it changed?

Also, if I happen to retake the test again and pass in manual, would my new license have the original amount of time remaining before I get my P's (6-7months left).
Or would I have to wait another 12months.
