I would; I don't really know how I would make myself believe in something, but I would try. I definitely wouldn't object to becoming a member of the religion in a formal sense.

I would be prepared to pose as a religious person for sex. I'm quite convincing.

definately not. I am an athiest and I tolerate everyone else's beliefs/religions. Thus, I expect the same from my partner. If they don't like it and try to force me to *change* then I would break up with them.

i would say no. why should they change [or want to change] me? i wouldn't try to change them. but since i don't believe in a specific God, maybe my partner will be the one to help me choose a religion, as long as he didn't try to pressure me into it. though, i'm content like this.

I wouldn't either...and I don't expect my partner to convert religions for me as well.

Religion and relationships

Recently I have been innundated with emails from A Christian Dating agency advertising their wbsite. Being a curious sort of chap I went there or maybe it was because i was looking for a new source of porn, I forget which one. The site made the following claim

If you're interested in meeting and dating quality christian singles - then we are your perfect choice. Our members are intelligent, attractive
professionals in search of meaningful relationships.

Then it got me thinking why would anyone ever willingly date a 'quality' Christian much less seek one out. Now I have nothing against moderate Christians but we all know that these so called quality Christians are in fact nothing more than backward fundamentalists who were home schooled and believe in creation and 'Jesus.'

I mean why date someone who you know is never going to put out and who claims that morals will bring them more satisfaction than you ever will. I have been down the Christian path and believe me it is littered with the crucified carcasses of randy teenage boys and girls whom these fundies will have you believe you will go to hell and be damned.

I know this is a generalisation but regardless its true. Christians do not put out.

If anyone has any comments please post and if you disagree with me I will gladly tell you why you are wrong.

The watchtower society was built on a foundation of greed and power. That's hardly a "Christian" value, in anyone's eyes. Plus, they classify themselves as being a religion apart from Christianity.

i am not big on religion, and the guy i am with isnt either. I'm not sure in what i exactly believe in, but there is bound to be something out there...whether i believe in it or not is a completely different thing.

The idea of the christian dating agency is for fundementalist christians to find other fundamentalist christians to have non-sexual relationships with. I don't think any average christian would ever use it.

All religion does for relationships is cause problems. You're better off just not involving yourself with someone if they are really religious to start with.

And if someone can't accept you because you don't believe in god then thats really not your problem. If i was going out with a girl and she said something like 'i think we should only continue this relationship if you become christian' then i'd say 'no thanks cya later' without hesitation.

I think the athiests are more accepting of other peoples beliefs, as long as they aren't pressuring them into believing it as well. I think christianity, and in fact all religions are completely ridiculous, but you don't see me trying to convert people.

Thats all I have to say.

i was ibn a relationship with a girl who was a stronger christian than wat i was.. we still fooled around until she realised wat we were doing was wrong. that was the point in the relationship where everything just went totally down hill. Without any notice everythign stop. Now i beleive and can see that her choice was the right decision and i wished i could have seen that ebfore when i would have still be in a great relationship.
Beign a christian, and going out with a christian isnt such a bad thing, it has its good and bad things, but in the long term i beleive the good sides will come to a good purpose but if like it doesnt in the end than thats my choice and i will have to put up with that. Life is something that should be enjoyed, where sex is also something to be enjoyed but yet you got to look at it, as its being something that should only happen between two people who truely love each other and are fully comitted to the relationship. but like i said im not trying to force my beliefs on anyone else, as everyone has the choice to believe and seek their own purpose. ANyone to talk more or anything like that PM me
