Hey if I failed Mathematics 1A would I have to repeat the exact course or would I be allowed to repeat an easier level like Maths for Life Sciece/General Math?

If Math 1A is a pre req to some of your other courses, then you'll need to repeat it and pass before you can move on.

er..i'm still abit confused ^^"

for my program it says

"Plus 6 UOC from:
-MATH1031 Mathematics for Life Sciences (6 UOC)
-MATH1041 Stats for Life & Soc Sciences (6 UOC)
-MATH1131 Mathematics 1A (6 UOC)
-MATH1141 Higher Mathematics 1A (6 UOC)"

for first year.

Failing MATH1131 would mean I would have the choice of choosing out of these subjects again or would i have to do MATH1131 again next year?

I guess if you had put some effort into MATH1131 then doing MATH1131 would be a wiser choice as I guess you would have the lecture notes and familiar with the content.

If you didn't then I doubt you would pass the other two easily.

You can repeat the same course, or choose the other 3 specified courses.

Just do MATH1031 instead.
What I don't understand is why you didn't choose the easier subject in the first place?

Some people choose the harder subject because of scaling, wanting a challenge, wanting to be with friends
edit: ignorance :p
