Re: Semester 2 Results Predictions / Final Results

I don't know my unit codes either. But I am not predicting results.
You've gotta admit the hold feature is the most awesome feature on the library website though. When you're the holder, not the holdee. ;)

Re: Semester 2 Results Predictions / Final Results

Oh I think its fine having holds, just really shit that as the current borrower my time gets lessened. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't significant, but its almost cutting the time in half :|

I'm not entirely familiar with this 'hold' system. What is it exactly? Is that like 'reborrowing' the book for another week?

Re: Semester 2 Results Predictions / Final Results

Nah thats renewals.

Basically if someone has a book borrowed, you can place a 'hold' on the book, thereby reserving your spot as next in line to borrow it.

No issues with that.

The issue comes when you're in need of a book for a few weeks to work on a major assignment, only to have the book placed on hold by someone else.

So instead of the 4 weeks I had with it, I got 2 weeks instead...something I didn't see of course, was too busy with my own assignments, so I got a fine put on it, for putting it in a week before my original borrowing date, but 5 days after the recall.

Shitty :(

Wow cyan, congrats! Although can you elaborate - they are accepting people during first year masters? Or is it in place of the second year masters? Either way, good on you!!

Re: Semester 2 Results

Only know 2 so far. Got a credit in accounting (probably why I wasn't given a supplementary) and got a HD in stat.

Re: Semester 2 Results

I'm only a first year so don't be too hard on me, but will these be our overall marks for the subjects or will they add in the rest of our marks to our exam results which we just received.

Hope that makes sense. I'm stoked with my results so not too worried either way just checking.
