can someone briefly explain all the "rules of.." in the course. I think they all deal with equality and the court of chansery. help!

Rule of Law

In essence ensures the exercise of arbitrary power is not possible by any group
Encompasses three major features - the law must treat everyone equally, everyone must have access to the law, and it must be known by everyone
The tule of law also embodies other related principles such as the indipendence of the judiciary, concept of a fair trial, individual rights in relation to arrest and the provision of legal aid for those unable to afford their own defence

principles that underpine it
Government must be bound by same lwas
Law should reflect informed public opinion
Must be an independent judiciary
Principles of Natural Justics should apply
Enforcement of law must be impartial and honest
laws based on respect for indidual human dignity
does that help?
