but whats scaling got to do with anything if you come first? you get full scale for most subjects anyway if you came first.

Its to stop expolitation of the system by dumbing down and getting near perfect results. In this case they probably should have been doing Maths instead of General Maths.

general math 100% should = 4u math 100%

No they shouldn't, there is a fair bit less to learn in general maths. Plus you get to use a graphics calculator
