russia, essay, please help (1 Viewer)

Hey,
I'm in exams at the moment (yr 11 yearly) and have to write an essay on russia and the romanovs which they want us to research ourselves and write about in the exam. Its weird cos we haven't really covered what they want us to write about. We learnt random stuff like the controversies around the disappearance of the tsar and his family, but not really anything much else. hmmm. Have any ideas about where I should start or any notes or info that would help me for this one?:
"How did the 1905 Revolution and WWI lead to the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917" --- your help would be greatly appreciated.

* Tsar took charge of army in 1915
* Tsarina left in control of domestic govt
* Influence of Rasputin
* Continual sacking of ministers
* Failure to grant effective power to the Duma

Economic
* Resources diverted to the war effort
* Inflation 1916
* Transportation infrastructure collapsed
* Food shortages, grain hoarding

Social
* Army and navy began to mutiny
* Strikes and riots in the cities
* Massive war casualties

Results: social order collapses, Duma assumes control, Tsar forced to abdicate.
