is it more important to do better in English than other subs since everyone has to do english or is it better to excel in harder subs i.e. physics?
The hell? Physics has beast scaling. English has crap scaling. 'Nuff saidSarah182 said:I pretty sure that the scaling of physics was about the same as (or even less than) advanced english?
There is a really helpful table about all that somewhere around on here.....
Um... no?youngminii said:The hell? Physics has beast scaling. English has crap scaling. 'Nuff said
I stand corrected.Sarah182 said:Um... no?
Look here:
http://www.boredofstudies.org/scaledmeans.php
These are the scaled means from 2001-2003
And as you can see physics has a lower scaled mean than English Adv, Extension 1 and Extension 2 in every year.
The higher the scaled mean then the higher the scaling of the subject.
I win
Haha yes that was my reaction when I realised how my different subjects scaled... I was suprised about how poor pdhpe scales, it contains A LOT of content, as does biology.youngminii said:I stand corrected.
Wow, I didn't know English scaled that high.. What the random
Maybe I shoudl start trying in English o.o

Haha, of course, I'm currently sitting on 100% for extension maths after my first assessment taskyoungminii said:
Can always count on extension maths to scale high though
Oh well, at least you're off to a good startSarah182 said:Haha, of course, I'm currently sitting on 100% for extension maths after my first assessment task
Prepare for that to drop to about 40%
