I know there is a thread about this already. Just thought I would put up a poll so we can see what the general concensus is...

Way to disappear for like a hundred years and then show up like nothing ever happened.

I was in the middle of finishing it off and it looks like the thread went up before the poll was finished.

Prima Facie, there is reasonable doubt as to result in a not guilty verdict ( In Australia at-least)

However, the legal system in indonesia is different, and i would not be suprised with a guilty verdict with say a 20-30 year prision term. Although in the end, the judges will determine the answer to the question quilty or not quilty ( regardless of wether they are right or wrong) I would say it was my own personal view that she is the innocent victim of a crime ring.

The one fact that dosent stack up for me is why would anybody want to smuggle drugs from Australia to Bali. I can understand smuggling the other way round ( Bali to Australia) But drugs in Bali are dirt cheap as opposed to Australia where they are expensive. If she smuggled them to Bali, they would have lost alot of value.....It makes little sense.

My mate knows her, and let me tell you, she's definately innocent. She doesn't even drink alcohol.

I think she'll probably get a life sentence.

is it reduced to life sentence now?
i can't decide which is worse: life sentence in an Indonesian jail, or death by firing squad.

both are extreme penalties, even if she's guilty (which i don't think she is)
the facts just don't add up...

what do you guys think about Russell Crowe speaking up?

Well It is likely that she would be extridited to Australia after an agreement between the Indonesian and Australian Governments is reached. But This could take at least 2 years to come into effect.

But why should we waste our money housing her in our prison system, when she was arrested in Indonesia?

Murf just so you know extradition doesnt work that way, If she committed the crime here and fled there, then Australia would extradite her back here for trial, plus the two contries must have an extraditin agreement :)
