Re: Semester 2 Chatter Thread

I wish i was a DFEE student.

I want to pay my own way and not be a burden to my fellow countrymen.

Do you get the 20% discount for any amount you pay? Or is there a certain minimum you need to give.

Yeh, that's what i do. Upfront CSP is still commonwealth supported though. You're just paying the student contribution upfront instead of deferring it.

Tbh I prefer NOT paying off my hecs debt and investing the money elsewhere... If you think about it... they only change you a small amount each year when you start earning a certain amount... in 50 years or so return on investment should outweigh the 20% you save from paying it off (assuming that you have an investment that is going to make you a profit)... I dunno just the way I think... there is a great chance of my maths being wrong though... I suck at maths...
Mmm true, but a 20% discount in anyone's books is pretty good.

It's been alittle quiet here, what's been happening peeps? How's everyone's second semester going?

Watching the Olympics (I'm obsessed!) is anyone going to get Tivo? I've seen it mentioned on American TV Shows, it's supposedly the bestest thing in the whole wide world when it comes to television viewing, anyone know anymore about it?

Yeah, got a HD LCD TV, we got it last year. Picture looks awesome but yeah, how much does the Tivo cost?

Bwahahaha. I'm totally kidding - I'm not really on DFEE. I just like the attention :D
and the spamming
Are you sure you're not DFEE?

IIRC you did not score a UAI anywhere near 98.35, and they don't give out that many bonus points at USYD for EAS applicants.

Just curious :D

Yeah, except the thing is according to the published cut offs from uac the late round uai for Commerce (liberal studies) at USYD went up to 99.30 http://www.uac.edu.au/pdf/2008_uai_coffs_csp_late.pdf.

I'm asking this on behalf of my students, not for myself. If you don't want to divulge that's fine: it'd be better than possibly lying.
