Firstly, your missing my point. I believe as strongly, perhaps stronger, that education is neccessary for the thriving of society. However, others may view not so, and yet they still do pay taxes.

Secondly, you stated your against taxpayers funding happiness without return/ just generally. Do realise, Church goers pay taxes as well. And the funding to Churches is significantly less then those given to other priorities of country. Using statistics, as I already argued above, it is imporportional, the amount a Church recieves, and the amounts its people pay tax.

Thirdly, HAPPINES, even for people that are not TAXPAYER, (ironically, sounds like many uni sutdents i know, hmm) are important for society. It enoucrages growth.

Well... see everythign is relative. You believe one thing, we believe another. Just as you believe Religious institutions are no benefit to society, SOME PEOPLE (does not reflect my own views) do believe religious institutions are no benefit to society.

Now you can point me to logic, proving those people wrong, and use scientific studies.

I too also can do that. Spiritual englitenment is important in society. And there have been scientific studies achieved over such a topic.

All is relative.

That's the point. Everyone has beliefs that they think are important. Unless we fund every single belief that is out there, whether they posit god or not, we should should not be funding any of them. Its either all or none. And just because you think your belief is very important that doesn't mean that there aren't other beliefs out there that people think are important. We can't fund belief. And I didn't say that I thought the church did no good, I said that if we want to fund helping the community then lets do just that! Without supporting specific beliefs.
