I received a raw mark of 86 in Biology. What are the chances of it scaling to a band 6?

...? We all got HSC results today, so just see what band you got.

It should say next to your marks what band you got. If by raw you meant HSC mark then that's a band 5 :/

Sorry to disapoint you but thats not your raw mark those were already aligned, the 86 stays an 86 but scaling we dont know yet

That 86 is your final mark, it doesn't change. It's not your raw mark, it's already been through the aligning process and everything.

yeah I'm hoping for at least one state rank, pretty sure business will be one and if I get IPT as well I'll be stoked
last year 96 would have made the cut for eco's as well so we'll see, I think it's unlikely though

update: got 3rd in the state for IPT as well as 3rd in the state for Business Studies

And I thought English was going to wreck me over. For some reason I did exactly the same as I did in the trials in Physics and Chemistry. (Which was horrible.)

Definitely not great results by BOS standards, but my parents just about cried with happiness lol:

English Adv: 89 (so close!!) [5]
Economics: 82
German Continuers: 82 (disappointed )
Mathematics: 78 (improvement from 40% in prelims lol)
Geography: 84 (can't figure out why so low... very disappointed)

BOSTES teachers standards met, but 86.90 ATAR looks unlikely now for a scholarship.

Oh well. The Earth keeps turning

BOS standards are gr8 but they aren't the defining factor of the world

Coside ring that my English teacher doubted my ability to receive even one band 5 for anything else I am super excited.
Ancient History- 91 B6

Mathematics- 78 B4

ATAR calcs are predicting around 91, only an hour until I know for sure!
