yeah,i personally find no reason to listen to these new songs as much of the good music were mostly made in the noughties and early 90's.i'm sorry to say this but music fell off just like everything else in this decade.

Good music is never confined to a period of time. Also, when you look back at the noughties and 90's you're only remembering the good, you've forgotten the bad.

Every decade old farts come out to say they hate the current music. I think you need to search on the net these days to find good music. Radio is dead.

Why would i remember bad music?,to me a song isn't worth my attention if its not good. And the ratio of good to bad songs was higher in those days than it was today, for example all the west coast rappers were at their peak during the 90's and early 00's.However today i couldn't name any new rapper from the west coast that could put a stamp on the charts with a good song.Hell even Dre fell of with his new album what hope is their for the rest of the music industry.Currently im still listening to the wu-tang clan as nothing new can even start to be compared to what they made.

there's still good music being made nowadays, there always is. But the point is there's MORE bad stuff coming out because its all over-commercialised nowadays. The more liberal use of autotune has resulted in more artists performing samey sounding songs as talent is not required to make music to the extent it was in the past, instead this can be achieved by technology available in many recording studios. Furthermore, because so many good beats have been taken by other songs, a lot of songs sound unoriginal and tacky. But to say all music nowdays is bad is a ridiculous assumption.

Therefore, the past looks better because you've forgot the bad from then, but are still subjected to the bad from now. See my point?

Some genres are defined to a certain period. I doubt that the overall ratio has changed much.
