Should I drop Biology for 4u maths? (1 Viewer)

About a week ago I got some of my prelim marks back :

2U Maths - 85%
3U Maths - 60%
Biology - 50%
Chemistry - 88% (2nd)
Physics - 93% (1st)

My Maths isn't too bad at all (I've just been taking it easy, enjoying year 11 while it lasted).

The thing is my knowledge of Biology is equivalent to my knowledge of 4u (0%, no idea how I scored a 50% in the test), so I'm at an even set point.

Is 4U a LOT harder than Biology? I mean I've got a pretty nasty work load from my subs, so I don't want to be picking up 4U and then struggling and then having to work extra just so my other subjects don't drop aswell.

So uh, is it a good idea?

I'm not bad at Bio, and both my parents worked as Biologists at a previous time so I've got some decent help there :d.

Yeh just do 12 units and drop later on if you want.

Yeh but (she!!!) can simply just drop either later on.

YES. I'm so glad you asked this question rather than just thought no. You should definitely drop it for 4 unit math if you think you can handle it. Truly if 4unit math is something you think you will be able to do successfully then go for it. You will potentially get a better HSC mark as 4 unit math is the best scaling.

LOL thats what im thinking, i do both maths3u and bio
bio 90% (1st)
eco 92% (1st)
phy 78% (8th)
maths 3u (75%) (13th i think)
i don't really study all that much for maths, but i was thinking of picking up 4u to get a head start above 3u kids but then realised its a totally different course?.. right?

50% isn't really a good mark.. Are your school tests particuarly hard?
