A particle is mving in SHM with displace x = 4/pi sin pi t, in units of metres & sec

q) what are the max speed, acceleration & distance from the origin?

So I worked out v as 4/pi pi cos pi t & acceleration = -4pi sin pi t

and i worked out the distance & speed, but i need some help with working out the max acceleration. I tried subbing t=0, but that wasn't the answer...

(btw- this is EX 3D FROM CAMBRIDGE 3U)

What is the range of a sine or cosine function?

So what is the maximum value of such a function?

well the range of that graph would be from -4/pi to 4/pi? or are talking about the general range for cosine/ sin graph?

yep!

So what would the 'maximum' of such graphs be?

Yep! That's for displacement. So extend this to the velocity and acceleration.
