Everyone knows basic chinese :). I learnt how to count to ten in Japanese with a few greetings and how to say 'bye'. That's about it though.

Swiss German too? Go to Switzerland to meet the number one tennis player :).

Languages are the bomb! I want to learn a new language too and actually become fluent in one. I think it's too late, with studies and all. *sigh* :(

Lol, it's never too late!

No, I find most people are shocked I was learning Chinese, they don't know any at all. Maybe you know mostly Asians, I have a European
background, lol!

edit: I lived in Switzerland for a year :)

Yes. :) Between Year 11 and 12. I needed a year off as I was hating school, and I got a full scholarship.
Most people go after year 12, but I would have been too old then with that organisation and I wasn't giving up a 12 grand scholarship!

Zomg, all expenses paid? A year off would be good for the mind and body yes. :) You are so lucky, if i was offered a 12 grand scholarship to Switzerland i'd take it in a heartbeat. :D :D :D

How did you find your studies when you came back for year 12? Easy to get back to or what?
