It doesnt matter whats on the outside... why would you wanna date someone who only cares what u look like on the outside? Its whats inside that counts.. unless you look like a combination of Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson... then your screwed :p.... Ha jokes... Looks shouldnt matter. I couldnt like someone who only cared about what I look like on the outside...

I went through school without a girlfriend. From my observations I was living the good life, monotonous as it was. I didn't have to worry about everyone talking about my latest adventure with whatshername, or how she wasn't looking too happy at that place the other day et cetera.

Nothings changed by coming to uni either. Don't let the stories of bludgy subjects and days spent in unbounded sexual contortions fool you.

I developed logic and all that stuff relatively easy. My first crush was in year 3, and lasted till year 6, but I never acted upon it. Then i had a crush from year 8 till year 12, and I handled that one badly. But at no time was I just going to ask a girl out or whatever (though I've come close) just because I wanted a girlfriend, because I knew that if I did that, I would still like this other girl more, and it wouldn't be fair.

Besides, nobody wants to date a student politician, except other student politicians, and only if you're on the same ticket. I'm an independent, there are no other people on my ticket.

To be honest I dont think relationships should be any one's top priority until like they're nearly 30, especially at our general age range.

And those Year7's who dress like whores and act like them too just make me wonder what the hell they're parents are thinking! It's not cute when your 12 year old is wearing mini skirts and midriff halter necks and those pointy stillettos....

no wonder why there's so much child porn out there... all you have to do is go out on the street and take a couple of photographs dammit.

And to answer the original question, I have never had a serious relationship.

Ugh, you should see my school. See, in class, the girls don't pay attention, they just put on make-up and stuff. Then, they start brushing thier hair, then brush other peoples hair, apply make-up to your best friend....

I agree but I think 30 is going a bit too far :p
I don't think their parents know half the time... I've seen chicks at Castle Towers bring clothes to change into at the shopping centre once they've been dropped off.

I got through high school without a r'ship. Glad for it.

I have finished high school without ever having a boyfriend. I find it pretty pathetic myself. I don't actively seek one, but often I sit around and think- oh it would be nice.

I guess it doesn't help that I have been hung up on the same guy for 2 years- hoping he would just magically fall in love with me one minute- when I know that will never happen.

A relationship is certainly not my top priority... never has been. I used to remember my parents telling me when started high school that I was way too young to have a relationship. All my friends had bf's but I was never really interested at the time in a relationship... never thought that they were too young though, until I reached about year 10 when girls started getting pregnant etc etc. I still have friends across the years even though Ive finished school and some of the 13/14 y.os have boyfriends and I keep telling them that they are too young...
Its really stupid if you ask me.
Some of them are on my MSN list and their display pics say "If your cute, I'm single".... Sigh..... grrrr..... And half of them dress like sluts. If thats what it takes to get a BF I dont want one. Im a tomboy... I dont try to attract the opposite sex...heh which prolly explains why Ive nver had a BF. ha. But you get my point.

i know i agree with that too... hence the fact i am still single.
i liked one guy off and on but pretty much mostly on for 4 years... and like jellybeanz sed u hope they fall magically in love with u so u keep holdin on for a jolly long time!!!! so i spose my likin that guy for so long stopped me from goin out with other boys-- i wouldnt go out with someone i didnt like, especially not now... if i havent been out with anyone before, i doubt i will let my first boyfriend jst be a fling.... get me?
so i spose i shall keep on waiting, and waiting and waiting.
lol

i agree with that, a lot of the people around me with girl/boy friends didn't like them 100% before they went out. just went out to see if it would work. some have worked, some haven't but it's still not the type of relationship for me.
Wow. Thats almost exactly what happened in my last relationship.

Unfortunately I am that kind of person. The 'i dont like you 100%' but ill ask you out, just to see if it'll work, cause i DO like you enough (to ask you out). I do this, because of two reason;
a)to see if i can like her more, when we go out.
b)to not suffer heart-break when i ask her out, and she rejects me!
thats my rationale.

there isn't that many high school students who have meaningful relationships anyway... its all just a bit of fun and feeling close to someone is a great feeling. it doesn't matter either way. i had boyfriends through high school but nothing SERIOUS. i just don't understand 15 year old girls who sleep around!

i think it's strange for someone to go through school without even kissing someone, but it's not a big deal not to. it's just natural with teenage hormones to kiss someone to see what it's like i guess.
