I voted for the last option, despite not doing any history purely because the question assumes too much.

It assumes

• Every school offers it
• People have enough time to take on another unit

Not everybody who is capable of an extension chooses it. I didn't do history yet I would've been capable of doing history extension (judging by year 10 results versus those who undertook history extension). If I did do history, I probably wouldn't have taken history extension due to timetable issues and lack of relevance to my degree in question, that does not mean anyone who does history extension is superior.

Anyone who asks that question should themselves be looking at the last answer and think that such elitism deserves that response.
