we had sex and i did cry and sit in the shower for hours after scrubbing my skin screaming UNCLEANUNCLEAN

not really.
i dunno. i take all this love stuff with a grain of salt.
i need to be with him to feel whole, but not to feel happy
i cry if im leaving for more than a week and wont see him, but i always enjoy the time away
sleeping beside anyone else feels foreign, sleeping alone feels strange
i get tingles when i touch him, kiss him
and ive never faked an orgasm with him
so
me thinks im in love.

From a zoological perspective, when the male and female form a "pairbond". Essentially, we just use the word 'love' as a subjective and glossy synonym. Both mates feel an 'emptiness' when separated from each other. In essence, they have 'hijacked each other's brain'. For eg- at intervals of 3-5 minutes (the average time for copulation) of the female not being around, the male will simply begin to ask: "hmm, where is she? I better go have a check on her" (Unless he is at work etc, and then he thinks about getting home to her). Females have similar processes. The 'pair-bond' essentially holds because of the allignment of both specimens survival and replication value for each other.

And people say loves complicated...pfft.

i remember reading somewhere that the longest recording of the continuation of the chemical process of being 'in love' that occurs in your brain, was like, 18 months

that being said, my grandparents are as in love today as they were 50 years ago
