I'm using the Hobbit and District 9 but I'm currently searching for another related text. What's everybody else using?
-Used- to be? As in 2008 syllabus?are we allowed to use a related text that used to be prescribed text?

Yes, provided it's not on the syllabus atm. However, it's often frowned upon as 'the easy way out'.
Your point being?Different AOS though?
lol, then you're best not to do this today, Friday 13th November - generally, this is a day where some people experience bad luck, and you don't want to take the risk.Your point being?
The fact that it was once used on the syllabus, means that there are zillions of resources around. For instance, if you chose "Crossing the Red Sea" (Peter Skyrznecki poem, used for Journeys) as a related text for Belonging, it'd fit, but it'd be frowned upon, because there's a LOT of resources on it around - like essays from past students.
If you used a related text that is currently on the NSW syllabus, you'd be heavily penalised (if you're lucky), and might even get 0 (if you're unlucky).
The link isn't /that/ strong, but I'm thinking of using the film Green Street Hooligans, as they both have a shift in setting causing a shift in character/values.I feel like i'm posting this everywhere, but I'm so desperate!
Please tell me if you know of any movies/songs/poems/books that relate to As You Like It by shakespeare
thanks
