LITERALLY THOUGH i just have like discord and youtube (and whatsapp i guess) but like not snapchat or instagram or reddit or twitter or like really anything... its like no i dont want snapchat stop telling me to get it...

I've got Whatsapp and youtube, that's it T-T. Bos is my next place, literally, which is sad.

i don't get how they're gonna ban yt though...

nah i think they excluded youtube because teachers complained that they used it too often... so i think that supposedly isnt counted... but videogames potentially are???

no literally i find the government banning it for under 16s as a great way to start a movement of this rule being placed worldwide but at the same time i feel like banning it, is also just gonna make it worse. like cos if im being honest my daily screen time is 6 hours and its geniunely embarrasing for me to say. i regret it alot but at the same timei genuinely cannot help it. but yeah our generation is so reliant on technology, especially social media, so i have a feeling some kids r just gonna get their way through the ban by like faking their age etc.

which incidentally has failure rates that increase if you are female or black or like minority

it could also mentally affect kids who are chronically online too. I think it really depends on how people under 16 take it...a challenge (finding different ways to get through it) mental affects, social affects, going outdoors instead as a result etc.

actually that's really good since to watch 18+ youtube videos, I had to verify my age, and one way was to use this exact face age estimator... it thought I was above 18 lol

face scanning technology would just cause more problems since different people grow at different rates. there's literally no telling how they're going figure out who's under 16 and who isn't I'm 17 and still look like a 13 year old because I'm asian, by scanning my face they're going to assume I'm not old enough and ban me

I worked in retail last year (age 20) and one weekday morning this lady walked in and the store was empty besides me doing stuff at the back, and she looked rlly concerned and flabbergasted and I was like hi can I help u, and she was like "shouldn't you be at school rn???" and we talked for a minute and I realised she thought I was 15 and forced into child labour
