find x when:
3=3x^2
do u divide 1st of root 1st??? Not sure sorry
Divide:1=x^2
x=1

Root: root3=3x
x=root3 over 3

so which one is it???
i forgot:eek:
Post ASAP please

No, its:

root3=root(3*x^2)
=root3*x
so x=1
No...
if its root then it should b:
root3= 3x (square cancel root)
x = root 3 over 3
am i correct?

Is the question asking

3=3*(x^2)
OR
3=(3*x)^2
???

2nd one
(3x)^2
So basically 3 = 9*x^2.

Then yea its x = root3/3

Sorry for the confusion but they way you put it in your first post made it seem like 3*x^2

and another noob question
can u differentiate twice?e.g. x^3 - x^2
y'=3x^2-2x
differentiate agn
y'=6x-2
can u do that?

Notice the extra '

The first derivative (y') tells you the slope of the function, the second derivative (y'') tells you about the rate of change of the slope.

1) y'=6x-2

2) y'=6

3 = (3x)2
Take the square root of both sides.
+ root 3 = 3x
Divide each side by 3.
+ root 3 / 3 = x

f(x) = x3 - x2
You take each part separately:
f(x) = 3x2 - 2x
I think you tried to differentiate 3x2 again, looking from your post. You don't differentiate twice. Once you've differentiated it, that's it. Don't mutilate it any further lol.

Youonly do that to find the second derivative or find the points of inflexion.
