i kind of half volunteered myself/was half pushed into, giving the farewell speech to yr 12 with another girl at the formal next week... i'm not v good at writing speeches of this variety, any ideas? we sort of know what we're going to talk about but we're a bit stuck on actually writing it. thanks.

Well try and make it amusing, your in your year so you'll know what will make them laugh. you have pay out a few teachers, its like an unwritten rule in every student farewell speech, and just do whatever else you think needs to be said. dont make it too long either!

You MUST thank your teachers/staff at some point in the speech for all they've done over the years, etc. :uhhuh:

Just re-mention all the in-jokes that your year has, no matter how controversial they may be. Teachers don't care anymore, so you can get away with nearly anything. Our captain showed that today with a great speech at graduation...
