hey .... i have a ten minute speech to do for ext english and i was wondering how long that has to be page or word wise .... please help me

That depends on your reading speed... perhaps you should type 1 page and read that then figure it out?

1 page = aprroximately 2.5 minutes

Perhaps 3-4 pages*. It all depends on your speed, fluency and articulation.

Well, I did my 15 min Ext Eng speech and it was about 4 pages with size 12 font.

You guys get to do speeches for extension english? We've never had to do anything like that.....then again my teacher really sucks. :mad1:

We did a speech for the half-yearlies....and I had a massive bug during that week, and had a coughing fit towards the end of my speech and went overtime.

I did one that went for 10 minutes 4 seconds and it was about 1600 words.
Wait, i'll check the word count. 1647, to be perfectly precise.

Yeah our EE1's had a speech as their half-yearly.

We don't actually get up to do our speeches anymore.
All we have to do is record it onto a CD or tape and hand it in.

that's shit, you should be graded on how well you can convey your point to a room of people.

plus it's kind of funny watching people break down when they have to do public speaking .

I did about 1250 words in 5.5 minutes reading at ultra-sonic speed so... probably 900 words for 5 minutes, 1800 for 10. Depends on how nuch you need to fit in. A decent length essay, basically. I wish our time limit had been 10 instead of 5. I had to cut down my speech heaps.
