She never calls me a cunt. Maybe that's because I don't murder babies. :p

I kid, I kid. To be fair, the only time I've ever seen an SA member actually yell abuse at liberals was when two boorish liberal folk turned up to a leftie rally outside Fisher and started hurling abuse. It was that guy who looks like a thumb, and is a general tard. Dunno his name but he's a ponce.

In conclusion, Lefties endure a lot of abuse from the right-minority on campus. Give us your pity vote, vote 1 Alma for prez, left focus for SRC & NUS. :D

EDIT: Going through her cv, I note that she's not a radical feminist or anything, and probably doesn't read too much into using the word cunt.

left focus gets moar votes lol

student power is a bunch of [mostly] random folks, and hence have no cohesion.

I alternated my totally below the line votes last year between LF and SP candidates though.

In terms of policy: Very little.

Noah White? ALSO a largish asshole.

I know all of these people, and they're ALL universally horrid.

Noah does seem like a bit of a meanie. Angus MacFarland was a tool.

Mebbe if we all elect independants (be they left or right), then the SRC will become less stagnant? Iuno.

wouldnt it make more sense to join together
Yes. Left Focus tried to unite student power, amongst others, but they refused. That's why I was approached, since I'm not a member of the SA by any stretch of the imagination.

Now, there ARE some people in the Left I genuinely like.

But most of them are tools.

Coleman looks better than Noah.
That's the basis for my vote.
But I'm not voting so why does it matter?

Will, however, vote HYPE for honi.

It doesn't matter!

How do I find out what the voting turnout for the last previous years were.

i don't think the src publishes the results online (because their website is shit) but it's probably at the end of the 2007 election thread if you want to dig it up.

WTF?!? White is a million times better looking than Coleman. Besides all Coleman talks about is money, nothing about his views so how can I make a proper comparison...
Coleman talks about YOUR money the SRC is wasting, and White talks about.. nothing.

seems a little hypocritical for the righties to be suggesting that the presidents wage be done away with, considering that their ideology is based on supply and demand...you know, attracting the best people to the job and whatever through wage incentives. I'm personally torn over the idea...:(

Last years SRC results:
Libs: 2
Ink: 7
Whigs: 2
Student Power: 2
Left Focus: 2
NLS: 7
Enviro Collective: 2
Unity: 7

So says the charter:

a. The Student Body of the University of Sydney shall consist of the
whole number of students, whether matriculated or
unmatriculated, who:
i. enrol in a Bachelor’s degree, an undergraduate diploma, or as a
non degree student; and
ii. who choose to be part of the Student Body for the purposes of
this Constitution.

Apparently? I guess?
