but i'm more creative and quick.fuck off im fullback
Lol you'd drop Creagh? Are you drunk? Past three years he has been the blues most consistently good forward. Cooper isn't anything special but also lol at him being cited as one of the major problems, never mind boofhead Gallen and O'donnell running round yelling "penalize me ref penalize me."Actually, I think we do.
We just need to play them in their correct positions & dump some players.
Are you telling me there is no one better than Cooper? No one better than Scott? No one better than Creagh (WHERE THE FUCK WAS HE LAST NIGHT? lol) & No one better than Dudley (ESPECIALLY as captain)?
NSW Selectors are a bigger joke than the team that ran onto the field last night.
What a disgrace.
I don't know how some players fitness are but:post your team list for origin 3
Mentioning him should be a crime punishable by death.5. IDK will see how Mcmanus goes.
.
I don't care if he's still got a broken leg or whatever, I'd sooner have him than the Morris that can't catch.Mentioning him should be a crime punishable by death.
He's a fucking liability. Everytime he goes into make a tackle I hold my breath praying that he doesn't give away a penalty. Honestly you can be a decent player without carrying on like a shit for brains dickhead.Farah? 2 hookers in a team? Waste... a hooker is a 80 minute player..
anyway i did forget about Lyon and Creagh so
Lyon to replace J Morris.
Creagh can replace Mason as a bench player.. As Watmough and Hindmarsh are far beyond Creagh's ability to make metres and tackler and he would be a great impact player along with Lewis. Snowden for prop rotations, and Dugan to be blooded for future origins.
Ps. Paul Gallen is Rugby League.
"Must pick players in position" is some stupid Phil Gould sounbit thats utter rubbish. It doesn't matter what the players preferred position is unless there is actually someone better pushing for the spot. Recall Jonathan Thurston was a five eight when he first got picked for QLD, that really bombed didn't it? Or Justin Hodges playing fullback, how did that grand final go for Brisbane? I seem to remember Scott Hill scoring two tries in the centres a few years back as well, and Shaun Timmins getting a man of the match award at five eight? Andrew Johns playing hooker and Gower at halfback? Toni Caroll making his debut as a forward not for Brisbane but QLD? Billy Slater on the wing? Robbie O'davis on the wing? If a good specialist is available, fine but you shouldn't, and this is what you and Mr Gould are implicitly advocating, pick a weaker side in order to have specialists. That would be absurd.Farrah playing halves? Playing players out of position does NOT work..
As for Pearce over Barett - Trent Barett is retiring end of this year, the series is lost so its time to build the team around a good player hence Mitchell Pearce.
Pearce is 21 and has a great future so the selectors need to stick with him and he will improve in leaps and bounds but why pick Barett for a dead rubber game when he won't be there next year?
Those are rubbish come on, Pearce was vastly inferior to Barrett and anyone who watched the match would realise that. Creagh played poorly last match I'll concede that, its also about the only time he has done so at origin level in his career, Gallen was on the verge of starting a fight on three separate occasions, a fine job he'll do the side when a ref grows a pair and gives him the marching orders he and O'donnell thoroughly deserve.Paul Gallen - 112 Metres, Penalties 2.
Ben Creagh - 22 Metres
Hardly a liability at second most metres only second to Hayne.....
He is a fricken lock making more metres than a prop...
Creagh is far more a liability
Mitchell Pearce - 26 Tackles, Errors 0, Try Assists 1
Trent Barett - 11 Tackles, Errors 2, Try Assists 0
And the fact barett thinks its somehow effective to bomb to Israel Folau twice who is the NRL's most effective player at taking a high ball.
Just some statistics if logic does not convince you.
don't agree with some of your points hereThose are rubbish come on, Pearce was vastly inferior to Barrett and anyone who watched the match would realise that. Creagh played poorly last match I'll concede that, its also about the only time he has done so at origin level in his career, Gallen was on the verge of starting a fight on three separate occasions, a fine job he'll do the side when a ref grows a pair and gives him the marching orders he and O'donnell thoroughly deserve.
I meant offering them as evidence for anything in particular is rubbish, although its been long noted that the ABC set of statistics tends to differ substantially from channell nines (which is the NRL sites). I realise now that Barrett is retiring, I've said that already, fair enough, drop him but as you've kind of acknowleged he wasn't outplayed by Pearce by any stretch of the imagination. Those statistics are directly from www.nrl.com
Barrett is a 33 year old veteran and your comparing him to a 21 year old playing his 2nd debut for NSW?
Barrett is a very good player but it's idiotic to think Pearce will run out the at a packed Suncorp and do better than Barrett. But Pearce was amazing in defence and i will highlight the most important fact Trent Barrett is retiring in 2011. He wont be there next series so it's common sense and only takes half a brain to realise picking him in game 3 is pointless.
Bring in the 2011 team now so they can get a feel for it...
Birds a bit of a, you know, prick, do you have any not bastards but fair enough. As for who is going to lead the junior's in the halves.
Greg Bird. He is built for origin football and has done a good job for the Titans.
Protecting the young halves from the reality that they need to take charge is not going to help them in the long run. They need time... to step up and claim that experiance for themselves. Give Pearce time and he will be the future
