Anyone got any good ways to manage stress? Sometime i psych myself out b4 exams..scary. I need to relax a little more, haha, i was all jittery b4 my last exam...perhaps more preparation would make me less stressed, any suggestions?

for me I listen to loud music, do lots of deep breathing, moving around positive thinking, and sqeezing of my stress ball which looks like this --> :) I use to imagine the hsc to be like a marathon and each thing I got through exams, assesments, etc I'd say to myself "one step closer to the finish line.

I dont get stressed too much. to safeguard against stress this year I have made it my goal to not get stressed at all. in this way i hope to simultaneously stress out and piss off one of my friends, who is a study freak, nerd etc., and is likely to become more stressed and reclusive as the hsc draws nearer. my ultimate goal is to get higher marks than him, with as minimal effort as possible. (i dont study much, and even if i do, i tell him i havent done any). im going to have fun this year.

Chill out, eat good food, listen to music you enjoy and get heaps of sleep. If you want to hit stress at the root of the cause then start preparing for everything ahead of time so that once you get there you're ontop of it and it's all good.

Trance ... Just play it for an hour lying down on your bed staring at the roof, listen to the trance, even if you got stuff on your mind, if you listen to the music eventually everything dazes of and you get lost in the music and feel alot happier afterwords

we had to do a stress management seminar at school a while back...we had to get into this "soft circle" (wtf) and do this meditating thing where you vizualised your "happy place" (i repeat: wtf) and then we had to give each other a shoulder rub, and then we did breathing exercises. basically it was like a warm up for drama class, only funnier because the teacher in charge is usually really strict and she was acting like a total hippie...

but if u want stress relief that works - just lie down on ur floor and close ur eyes and just completely space out, dont think about anything, just float away...when u snap out of it u feel soooo good.

I gotta agree, it helped me get through junior school. Although, it doesn't really work for me when I've got all my information prepared :p. Oh, and when you talk to much before exams.

Man that's nasty! :) See I'm pathologically immune to relaxation during school... I don't see how stress balls and exercise works for people cos I try all that and I'm still stressed... :( But, on the other hand, it's pretty cool when you end up doing better in an exam than someone who stayed up all night studying... not that it happens much any more.
