try get yourself a copy of another text book, pick out the chapters you are weak at and do them on the holidays.

It isn't about how much, it is the substance of what you do.

at this point in time, as long as you are doing all your hw than thats fine. but next year prior to ur exams its best that you do extra exercises from various textbooks.

Just keep doing excercises until you feel confident in a subject.

Rather than time based goals set yourself quantitative goals. eg. Intead of setting aside 1 hour of maths, set yourself an Exercise or a topic. You will get more completed and your time is used effectively.

Yes I agree so much with that, set yourself goals not time. :)

Lol, craming sometimes works.

I started studying two days before the HSC and got 30/50.

thats not bad for sum1 with 2days study on a fucking hard test like that.

I didn't have motivation for any of the HSC, thats why I only got 72 UAI.

If I could go back and do it again, I would work my arse off and also pick up maths extension 2

If I can offer one bit of advice, make sure you get the basics down.

Pull out any past HSC Extension 1 paper and look at the first few questions. Chances are you'll be able to do (or at least recognise) a good portion of the first question (if not the first few) due to the heavy reliance on Prelim work. So get this down until it's second nature.

I never really put much focus of Ext 1 and much preferred working on 2 Unit. However, I managed to salvage my mark to get an acceptable 42 by making sure I knew all the basics - i barely touched question 6 and 7, but made sure I took my time and made the most of every mark.

In other words, at this stage of the game make sure you learn how to get the easy marks!!!
