Is it possible to pick up my student ID card before orientation? The email says I can pick it up from 23rd-26th but I would prefer to avoid the orientation rush.

Probs not hey. If that's when you're told to go grab it, that's probably an indicator of when it has been made and is ready. Just go early in the morning.

They're not giving out new ones anymore. Last year's card will remain valid until you graduate.

How do they validate concession on trains then?

The concession stickers are being replaced by Concession Opal Cards. Opal have direct access to your enrolment details, so they'll know when you are no longer eligible for concession.

All you have to do is carry your Opal Card, and your current student ID in case transport officers want you to prove you are a student.
