Realistically how do you fit more than 4 hours on a school night without sacrificing the recommended 7-8 hours sleep?
I used to fit in extra hours of study by sleeping 6 hours a day. Big mistake lol. I regret doing that in year 11.
Hopefully this year I'll maintain a regular 7-8 hour sleep pattern.

Guys, it's not necessary that you write notes. I have NEVER written notes for any of my subjects, and yet I've still managed to top most of them. There's really no use in writing notes. You should better spend your time learning the syllabus and just reading your textbook. Also, read a wider variety of sources to supplement your knowledge. Don't just stick to your textbook. Take the initiative and actually search something up on Google.

Also, I've got another friend who is duxing the grade and already has a scholarship lined up for him and he's also never made notes.
Yeah I don't write notes, and I'm doing fairly well.

I do 6 hours a day and here's my routine:

3:15 - 3:30 Shower
3:30 - 6:00 Study (2.5 hours)
6:00 - 7:00 Dinner
7:00 - 11:00 Study (4 hours)
11:00 - 6:45 Sleep (almost 8 hours)

Total: 6.5 hours study

I dont know if this is the right spot or not, but does anyone find it odd that if you write by hand, ie workbooks, summeries etc, that you remember the infomation that you write down, better then if you type those summeries, type up class notes etc ?
just a thought i was pondering....

It depends on what subjects you take. If you dont take notes in history, society and culture, legal studies and just rely on textbooks, you'll be crucified.

wth people. With 5+ studying everyday, you should get like 99+ UAI. Unless those study routines are totally consumed by procrastination, 99+ UAI won't be hard with 5 hours a day...

my timetable is like:

2-5am studying
5-6am re-sleeping
6am -> prep for school, school, random things
4pm -> total procrastination, eating and sleeping

I want to study more than 3 hours a day but I don't think I will pull that off.
It's more like 3- hours a day.

With that routine, my UAI = less than 90 = no actuarial for me, not happy at all. (even though it's not all about amount of studying you do but amount matters! lol)
